Mohamed Salah has been training away from the Liverpool first-team group after being left out of the squad for last night's Champions League win against Inter Milan.
The development follows comments Salah made to journalists at Elland Road after Liverpool’s 3–3 draw with Leeds United, in which he said he had been “thrown under the bus” by the club and suggested there was significant tension between himself and manager Arne Slot.
Yesterday Sky Sports circulated an image of Salah working alone inside the gym at the AXA Training Centre.

Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Slot described Salah’s remarks as “unacceptable.” Former Liverpool centre-back Jamie Carragher also criticised the forward’s comments on Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football, calling his conduct “a disgrace.”
Salah has been a central figure at Anfield since joining in 2017, playing a key role in Liverpool’s domestic and European success, including the 2019 Champions League and the Club World Cup.
Under Slot last season, the 33-year-old played a significant part in Liverpool’s Premier League title win, but recent form — with just three victories in the last 10 games — has coincided with Salah starting the last three league matches on the bench.
With his contract due to expire next summer, and ongoing reports in both English and Saudi media linking him with a move to the Saudi Pro League, questions remain over whether he will remain at Liverpool beyond the winter transfer window.
