Olivia Dean stars in the 2026 Brit Awards

The Brit Awards 2026

Olivia Dean was the star of the show in the 2026 Brit Awards in Manchester for the first time ever, winning 4 awards.

The night was presented by the award-winning comedian, actor, presenter and writer Jack Whitehall at the Co-op Live in Manchester.

Olivia Dean won the first award of the night alongside Sam Fender as they won Song of the Year with Rein me in. Olivia Dean on stage said: “ I think this is a beautiful song and it’s been a pleasure to be a part of it.” The song reached over 100 million streams on Spotify as of early 2026.

After winning the award, she took to the stage to perform her hit song ‘Man I Need’.

The next award she won was Best Pop Act. On stage, she spoke and said: “Here’s to making people feel good and looking after each other”. Something a lot of people would say her songs do.

Her penultimate award of a spectacular night for the 26-year-old was Artist of the Year, her third of the night. Another speech was required and this time she broke down, thanking those around her: “It takes a lot of people to be a good artist and it’s not lost on me that I have good people around me, so thank you, I love you”.

And her fourth and final award of the night was Album of the Year, presented by American actor and musician, Jeff Goldblum. Her final speech of the night reminded people that “This album is about love and loving each other in a world that feels loveless right now”.

She beat likes of Sam Fander and Lily Allen to the award.

 

Other award winners included Wolf Alice, who won Group of the Year, Rosalía, who won International artist of the year, beating Bad Bunny, who performed in the Super Bowl half-time show and Sabrina Carpenter to the award.

Another winner was Geese for International group of the year whilst Rosé & Bruno Mars won International Song of the Year for their song, APT.

Breakthrough artist went to the 25-year-old Lola Young whilst Jacob Alon won Critics’ Choice.

Olivia Dean’s partner in ‘Rein me in’ Sam Fender won another award himself as he was given the Best alternative/ rock act.

Dave won the Best hip-hop/ rap/ grime act and the Best R&B act went to Sault.

Fred again…, Skepta & PlaqueBoyMax won the Best Dance Act award whilst Producer of the year went to PinkPantheress.

Noel Gallagher, of Oasis, won Songwriter of the year, greeted to great cheers from the Manchester crowd whilst Mark Ronson won the Outstanding contribution to music award.

The final award of the night went to Ozzy Osbourne for the Lifetime Achievement Award. On his behalf, Sharon and Kelly Osbourne accepted the award. Sharon Osbourne said: “If Ozzy was here tonight he would be showing us that gorgeous smile he had” and that it went out “to his incredible family and great musicians that helped Ozzy along the way”.
