ITV have confirmed that Manchester-born rapper Aitch and YouTuber Angry Ginge will join the line-up for this year’s series of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!

Harrison “Aitch” Armstrong (25), from New Moston, has made a name for himself in UK hip-hop with a string of Top 10 singles and a debut album. Salford-based YouTube personality Morgan Burtwistle (24), better known online as Angry Ginge, has built a loyal following of just under one million subscribers for his chaotic, football-related content and trademark rants.
Both contestants have expressed mixed feelings ahead of their jungle adventure. Checking in at Manchester Airport on 9 November en route to Australia, Angry Ginge told reporters:
“If you are seeing this I have officially been announced… don’t vote for me.”
Meanwhile, on arrival Down Under, Aitch — one of the first major UK rappers to take part in the show — joked about his jungle readiness, saying:
“I don’t mind snakes… snake on toast? It’s all right that, innit?”
The long-running ITV reality series challenges celebrities to live together in a jungle camp, surviving on basic rations and taking on often-gruesome Bushtucker Trials. Viewers vote to decide who stays, with one celebrity ultimately crowned King or Queen of the Jungle.
Fans have already taken to social media to share excitement over the Mancunian duo’s inclusion. Streaming platform giant Twitch UK & Ireland, where Angry Ginge is an active creator, expressed support on X (formerly Twitter), writing:
“The young lad from Salford taking on the jungle — GET IT, GINGE!”
Other fans posted:
“GINGE AND AITCH YES.”
“Aitch and Ginge are quite literally carrying this lineup.”
However, not everyone was impressed. Some viewers questioned the overall celebrity status of this year’s cast, with one post reading:
“What the saying ‘scraping the barrel’ was made for — Jesus!!!”
Others were more blunt:
“Entire ‘celebrity status’ being based on getting angry while playing video games.”
“Who who who who who who who who who who?”
It’s yet to be seen how the Manchester pair will fare in the jungle. Among their fellow campmates are women’s football pundit Alex Scott, Kelly Brook, Martin Kemp, actress Ruby Wax OBE, Jack Osbourne, Eddie Kadi, Shona McGarty, and Lisa Riley. The full contestant line-up was announced by ITV earlier this week on Monday 10 November.
The new series of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! launches on Sunday 16 November, with 22 episodes expected.
