A pair of brothers from Greater Manchester have thanked fans after their single Familiar Faces rose to first place on the Official Singles Downloads Chart last week.
The achievement marks a major milestone for Oldham based folk duo Two Connors, whose single, released in August 2025, went straight to number one in the UK downloads chart on Thursday, 19 February — seeing off industry heavyweights including Taylor Swift and Bruno Mars.
Two Connors were formed in 2023 by brothers Danny and Callum Connor.
Speaking to BBC Radio Manchester on Monday, Danny described the moment the track reached number one as “absolutely bonkers”, explaining how he and his brother started the band from scratch with just 64 followers on Facebook.
The duo’s professional page now boasts more than 113,000 followers.
The success of Familiar Faces is the latest in a growing list of achievements for the Connor brothers.
On 11 November last year, the pair announced that their first show outside Oldham had sold out.
On Sunday, Callum shared an emotional video with fans on the band’s Facebook page, expressing his gratitude:
“I really can’t explain how grateful I am to have you guys with us… thanks so much.”
