Today marks a historic chapter in the biggest award ceremony in the British music industry.
For the very first time, Manchester will make its debut as host city of the British Record Industry
Britannia Centenary Award (commonly known as the BRITS) with the event taking place at the
Co-op live arena at 8:00pm this evening.
It will be the first time in nearly 50-year of the BRITS that the ceremony will take place outside of
London.
Jack Whitehall will host for the night which will be broadcast live on ITV1 and ITVX with
coverage starting at around 8:15 pm.
Nominations
Olivia Dean and Lola Young top the list with five nominations each with fans predicting a big
night for Olivia Dean in particular who could be looking for a "sweep" of awards.
Elsewhere Newcastle born Sam Fender has four.
All three artists have been nominated for Artist of the Year.

● Mastercard Album of the Year: Dave - The Boy Who Played the Harp, Lily Allen - West
End Girl, Olivia Dean - The Art of Loving, Sam Fender - People Watching, Wolf Alice -
The Clearing.
● Artist of the Year: Dave, Fred Again, JADE, Lily Allen, Little Simz, Lola Young, Olivia
Dean, PinkPantheress, Sam Fender, Self Esteem.
● Song of the Year: Includes Calvin Harris & Clementine Douglas - Blessings, and
Performers
Harry Styles, RAYE and Olivia Dean are all set to perform on the night. For Styles it will be his
first live performance since 2023, ahead of the release of his new album.
Other names in the line up include Wolf Alice, Sombre, Alex Warren and HUNTR/X.
Special Honors:
Black Sabbath front man Ozzy Osbourne will receive a posthumous Lifetime Achievement
Award following his death in July 2025.
Special tributes also go to Robbie Williams, Mark Ronson and Noel Gallagher of the newly
reformed Oasis has been named Songwriter of the Year.
Bath’s Victoria Beverley Walker, who goes by the stage name ‘PinkPantheress’, will also
receive the title Producer of the Year - incidentally becoming the youngest person as well as the
first woman to receive it.
